Installing BPC RiskManager V6 - OPTIONAL IIS Installation
Note: Read the next step before executing the IIS install.
Some components of BPC RiskManager make use of a Microsoft IIS webserver. It is recommended that you install IIS 6+ if available or not already installed, or that you have IIS available on your network. XP uses IIS 5 which is also fine, but IIS 6+ gives better worker process control.
Note: the SurveyManager component will work remotely from any IIS server, but if you intend to use the HTTP/HTTPS connection component instead of the raw TCP/IP socket connection component you MUST have IIS installed on each Application Server Computer.
To install IIS (you may need to have your Windows installation disks handy).
The IIS component is located in slightly differing positions across the versions of Windows, and the configuration selections are slightly different (if not in outcome).
