BPC RiskManager - Creating and Resetting User Passwords
From RiskWiki
User passwords are only relevant where the locally (application) managed security option in untrusted login is turned on at the application server.
Users can set their own passwords in the user settings screen, and you can load passwords when you load resources in bulk with the "add user" flag turned on, but when you create a new user individually from a resource or when the user has forgotten their password, and administrator can override the password setting. You can not see a user's password, but an administrator can reset it.
Blank passwords are not permitted.
Steps for changing a user's password:
- Open your BPC Risk Manager client and select the Access tab (you must be an RM Administrator to do this)
- Select the security button
- A Set up Security window will open.
- On the top tab bar select "Step 2 - Define Resource Access Rights". The user rights management screen will display.
- Locate the target user in the grid and select "Reset" in the password column of the grid.
- A password entry window will open.
- Enter new password and select "OK" to save it.
- Close the Setup User's screen by left clicking on the close box when you are done.
